New Zealand institutions have been making incredible strides with PebblePad – here’s a look at the momentum building across the Tasman and the inspiring work happening within our community.
Working with customers across Australia and New Zealand is always highly rewarding as a Customer Success Manager in the APAC team. Lately, I’ve found particular joy in collaborating with our New Zealand partners whose openness, cultural awareness and collegiality have deeply enriched my workday.
I’ve learned so much from their thoughtful approach and positive energy (not to mention upping my skills in meeting planning across time zones – with a splash of daylight savings thrown in too!).
Generous partners
Over the past couple of years, I’ve seen generosity from our New Zealand colleagues in sharing knowledge and experiences within their institutions and across the broader PebblePad community. Whether through the NZ Polytechnic User Group or our Special Interest Groups (SIGs) for Nursing and Midwifery or Medical Imaging and Radiology, their contributions have helped foster a collaborative learning environment – with a willingness to learn, experiment and share. This spirit of openness is exactly what PebblePad is all about.
In 2024, I had the privilege of supporting the University of Auckland’s Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences as it joined the PebblePad community. And this year, we’ve welcomed even more institutions into our expanding NZ family, including the Ara Institute of Canterbury and Whitireia and WelTec, who join UCOL in our Polytechnic branch of the family tree.
Inspiring feedback
PebblePad use across these institutions spans a wide range of disciplines from Medical Sciences to trades, as well as academic professional development. Feedback from both staff and students has been overwhelmingly positive – in no small part due to their amazing support and teaching staff. There’s a real sense of energy and intentionality in how these institutions are supporting and planning further use of PebblePad across faculties and programs.
Personally, one of the most inspiring aspects of working with our NZ partners is the way Māori culture, language and values are woven into institutional practices and curriculum design. Not having worked with New Zealand colleagues before, it is something I deeply respect and admire and, for me, adds a layer of meaning to the work we do together.
On the horizon
While we haven’t reached the end of the year just yet, I’m already looking forward to what 2026 will bring. I’m excited to continue supporting our NZ customers as they deepen their use of PebblePad and explore new possibilities for learning, teaching and other institutional initiatives.
Of course, there’s always a friendly rivalry between our Aussie and Kiwi customers – that’s just part of the charm of working across the Tasman! But I truly appreciate the entire ANZ community and the incredible contributions they make to our SIGs and events like the Online MiniBash Australia & New Zealand 2025 – and we’re excited to continue to share and learn in 2026 and beyond.
