Radical Imaginings for Experiential Learning: A Curriculum Hackathon

Date: Wednesday 22nd May 2024

Time: 10.30am to 4pm (arrival from 10am)

Location: Moss House, University College Birmingham.

About: This free event is hosted by the Institute for Experiential and Skills Based Learning (IESBL) in partnership with PebblePad.

Event details:

The space around experiential learning tends to attract innovative educators – and often they riff on the constraints that existing curriculum and quality practices place around their work. But what if those constraints weren’t there….

This event invites educators (including academics, technicians, librarians, careers professionals, and all other third-space professionals) to let their imaginations run wild in an act of radical utopianism. We’ll spend the day hacking conventions to construct compelling visions of a future curriculum built to enable, rather than constrain experiential processes.

As we expect high demand for this event, we ask that you register your expression of interest – and particularly encourage applications for educators to get stuck in to some radical imaginings.
