The University of Huddersfield is home to a diverse community of more than 15,000 students. Its close-knit, welcoming campus brings people together from around the world, where award‑winning academics support learners at every level and help prepare them to become successful graduates.
The Ambition
The university wanted to create a mobile‑first, student‑led digital experience that brought key information together in one place – shaped directly by what learners said mattered most.

The Challenge
Students found it difficult to navigate the existing siloed, inconsistent systems and often didn’t know where to go for essential information – particularly when using their phones. The university needed a unified, intuitive hub that met students where they already were.
The Solution
Working closely with students and the Students’ Union, the university co‑designed the myday experience through feedback loops, working groups and student‑driven decisions. The university now has student‑friendly gateway to email, timetables, the VLE and support services, helping reduce student confusion and improve access.
