Summary

This study explores the implementation of ePortfolio technology and practices at a dual-sector institution offering both higher education and vocational training. Led by a central teaching and learning unit in collaboration with faculty, the initiative marks a strategic move towards enhancing reflective learning and documentation.

Using activity theory and an action research approach, the paper investigates the complex challenges and opportunities involved in integrating ePortfolios within learning design frameworks. The findings highlight both the obstacles faced and the potential of ePortfolios to drive pedagogical innovation, offering practical insights for educators, administrators, and policymakers to support successful adoption in higher education.
